‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The leftovers were put up in the fridge with care, in the hopes that in the morning they still would be there.
The dingos were nestled all snug in their beds, while visions of dog biscuits danced in their heads.
And Twilah in all her cuteness was on Cody’s lap, they had just settled in for a long Winter’s nap.
When from in the kitchen there arose such a clatter, he sprang from the couch to see what was the matter.
And what to his wondering eyes should be seen but a naughty Boover Hound and mischievous Beagle Bean!
With squishy wet noses and eyes full of glee, they had hoped to sneak some of our food for free!
They spoke not a word and went straight to their work, but with one quick shout they turned with a jerk.
More rapid than usual his critters they came, and he whistled, and cuddled, and called them by name.
Now Polly, now Lobi, now Jacky, now Volvo, on Twilah, on Kit Kat, on Ender’s Game!
Out of the kitchen, get out of here y’all, now dash away, dash away, dash away all!

My baby brother was in the Navy a few years back and did a stint in Bahrain. (that’s kinda near you?? or not…I am not sure) but I think he was 12 hours ahead of us then…but I could be dillusional)

Yeah, Bahrain is REALLY close by, just about an hour across the causeway bridge from us. In fact, we lived there for the past two years, we moved back home to Saudi this summer. Bahrain is a great place!
