First, thanks for the mention! Appreciate it :) I love your wrap-up posts! Lots of ideas and good food, so I'll be back each week - great concept. I've thought the same way about Temple Grandin, by the way. I admire her empathy and career, but can't help think she's been used by the industry, even if she may make many animals' final moments slightly less terrifying.

I hope you like the Her Authority blog, it's one of my favorites. Reading stuff like that can be so difficult, but I do it so I can add my voice to the conversation. Hopefully someday we will be so loud we can change the world!

Great comment, Stef! I definitely agree with you for her work raising awareness about autism. But from a vegan perspective....what she has done breaks my heart!

I love your wrapups, Tasha b/c you inspire me and keep me reading blogs with substance; more than just another bowl of oatmeal with a dollop of nut butter on top. And I love you for keeping me in the loop of the thinking women's blogs :)
xoxo

i agree about temple grandin! i am fascinated by her work and have listened to manyyyy radio interviews with her, and it's obvious to me that she is not an animal activist. that being said, she is extremely interesting and great at what she does, but she is not a friend to animals as you say. i think she is an inadvertent advocate for people with autism though, just living as an example of someone who can be successful and function despite their disorder. sharing her experience has been really influential in getting more people to understand what autism is all about, and awareness is key in solving it!
